I am captivated by nature and the combination of light and water. I find that inner beauty and peacefulness often exist within the details of both naturally occurring and man-made patterns and my photos tend to focus on these themes.

I am a native Californian and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am also a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. Go Bears!
To me, photography is akin to collecting shells, rocks, and sea glass on the beach. I try to see and find the details or the "unusual", things that others may have missed completely that, to me, become small treasures. Like the ocean, the subjects of my photographs are rarely the same from one day to the next - even when I wish they were.
I rarely shoot landscapes or portraits and instead look for "abstract art" in nature and attempt to capture it in my photographs to share with others. I don't always get what I set out to when I take a photo. Then again, sometimes I capture things in a photo that I didn't even see with my own eye. It's fun to get lucky now and then!
